Capital Cabs is a proudly Canberra based rideshare service, launched on 27 February 2024 with one clear mission. To create a fair, transparent and truly local transport option for Canberrans, one that serves both passengers and drivers equally well.
The idea for Capital Cabs came from seeing how many drivers in big rideshare companies were overworked, underpaid, and treated unfairly. At the same time, passengers were paying more than ever, with little benefit to the local community.
We decided there had to be a better way. A way where:

Drivers keep more of what they earn, because the company takes a smaller cut.
Support is handled locally by people who actually understand Canberra, its streets and its people.
